The Prince of Peace Catholic Church Columbarium was designed as a contemplative outdoor garden that integrates the columbarium with the site’s existing grades and natural topography. The design provides a fully ADA-accessible environment while preserving the character of the surrounding landscape and creating a seamless connection between the architectural and natural elements of the site.

A series of meandering pathways organizes the garden into intimate outdoor spaces, allowing visitors to move through the landscape at a comfortable pace while providing areas for reflection and remembrance. The exterior columbarium walls incorporate a Rosary Trail and Stations of the Cross, creating opportunities for prayer and contemplation throughout the garden.

A water feature serves as an important landscape element, providing the calming sound of moving water and helping to create a peaceful atmosphere within the garden. Through the integration of accessible pathways, landscape, devotional elements, and architectural features, the columbarium provides a serene and meaningful setting for remembrance, prayer, and reflection.
