Cobb County School System commissioned a new 1,000 seat orchestra performance hall that could serve all of the East Cobb School music programs, they chose the location for the new facility to be at Lassiter High School. The project would also include additions and renovations to the school’s cafeteria, kitchen, media center and administration spaces.

Since the Concert Hall was to service multiple schools within the county, the school felt that it was important to keep the new facility separated from the existing school buildings while maintaining a relationship to the school’s existing band building. Lassiter High School also felt that the design of the building should in some way reflect the school’s mascot, the “Trojans”. The result was a 28,454 sf orchestra performance hall with a Greek revival entrance and a concert hall with variable acoustics, stage capable of holding both a 100 seat orchestra & 150 seat choir, backstage, green room, two dressing rooms, sound system, theatrical lighting w/ catwalks, a VIP/Reception Room, stadium seating for 1,000 and an exterior music plaza with covered walk connecting the backstage of the hall to the existing music building. The facility has not only been used by multiple schools, but has also hosted the Atlanta Symphony Orchestral.
