Conceptual Design and Fundraising Visuals

As part of a master plan for St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, Smith Boland Architects was commissioned to design a new columbarium to provide a sacred space for remembrance. This intimate courtyard space forms a serene threshold between the existing church and new parish hall, creating a place of quiet reflection within the heart of the campus. The design integrates traditional materials consistent with the church architecture to establish harmony and continuity with the existing structures. A central crucifix serves as a focal point, while landscaped plantings and thoughtfully placed lighting enhance the sense of serenity and reverence.
